Anne is the founder and president of Turning the Tide Ovarian Cancer Retreats, having been diagnosed in 2005 with stage IIIc ovarian cancer. Anne retired after a long career as an early childhood educator and subsequently as program manager of Hospitality Homes, a Boston nonprofit that provides housing for families traveling to Boston for medical treatment. Anne also served as a hospice volunteer for many years. She is currently a weekly volunteer at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Anne and Dick, her husband of 60 years, are founding members of Cambridge Cohousing. They are grateful to have three outstanding children and their spouses, and seven remarkable grandchildren.
