The Turning the Tide retreat is a special experience for women who have received a frightening diagnosis. For a few days each year, a new community is formed among women from urban and rural areas across New England who have been successfully living with the diagnosis for many years, those who are currently struggling, and those with a new diagnosis—sharing strategies, taking supported risks, having fun. This can inspire a sense of well-being and connection that makes a significant difference in the quality of life for women who may otherwise feel isolated and overwhelmed.

Medical expenses incurred during treatment can present additional stress. We work to keep the retreat as close to no-cost as possible for participants and provide scholarship dollars so that no one is ever turned away for inability to pay. In 2023 the retreat cost per participant is $1,000. Participants are asked to contribute $300 towards that amount if they are able. Please give so we can continue to make the retreat accessible to all.
